Matej Bel University of Banská Bystrica (UMB) participated for the third time in the European fair of post-high school education and continuing education GAUDEAMUS NITRA 2015 which took place on 14 and 15 October 2015. The delegates from all the faculties of UMB presented their study programmes for the academic year 2016/2017. The delegates communicated with the applicants of study and with pedagogic advisors with whom they talked about study programmes, dates and admission conditions.

234 exposing subjects and faculties including 62 subjects from abroad exclusive of Czech Republic participated at the fair. The exhibitors came from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Netherlands, Denmark and Switzerland and they presented more than 3 000 study programmes.

The fair welcomed 4 775 visitors including 108 pedagogic advisors and high school pedagogues over the two days.

32% of students were from Nitra County, 18% from Banská Bystrica County and 18% from Trenčín County. The least number of visitors was from Bratislava County.
