EMERGE enlarged into a consortium of eight European universities focusing to connect and transform their individual educational and research programs for the benefit of students, researchers, and local communities. Partners of the consortium are University of Limerik from Ireland, Université Rennes 2 and Université Bretagne Sud from France, Inland University of Applied Sciences in Norway, Europa-Universität Flensburg in Germany, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, Neapolis University Pafos, Cyprus and new partner from Spain - Universidad de Burgos.

Both meetings, leaded by prof. Mairead Moriarty, Vice-Rector for Global and Community Engagement at the University of Limerick, Ireland, covered up important plenary sessions, as well as specific workshops focusing on the areas and activities of modern universities meeting the european and global standards.

Among the academic and non-academic representatives also the representatives of student community of all partner universities took a part at the personal meetings in Norway. These students are active in the Student Forum, established under the auspices of Inland University of Applied Sciences in Norwas and has an important influence on decisions about the future strategic direction of the consortium.

The meetings and discussions confirmed the determination of consortium to continue working together and responding to the call made under the European Universities Initiative with the start of the financial support in 2022.
