UMB presented the study programmes at the fair AKADÉMIA/VAPAC 2015
Matej Bel University of Banská Bystrica participated in the biggest international fair of study and career in Slovakia AKADÉMIA & VAPAC 2015 from 6 to 8 October 2015.
The fair is being realised under the endorsements of:
- Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission
- Juraj Draxler, Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of Slovakia
- Rudolf Kropil, President of the Slovak Chancellors´ Conference.
The solemn opening of the 19th fair of study and career AKADÉMIA & VAPAC® took place on 6 October 2015 with the involvement of:
- Peter Žiga, Minister for the Environment of Slovak Republic, Romana Kanovská, the Secretary of State for Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of Slovak Republic, Vojtech Ferencz, State Secretary for Ministry for the Environment of Slovak Republic
- Ján Ilavský, State Secretary for Ministry for the Environment of Slovak Republic
- Dušan Chrenek, the Chief of the Delegation of the European Commission in Slovakia
- Marek Šmid, Vice-President of the Slovak Chancelors´ Conference
- Daniela Kráľovičová, director of the fair
- and the magnificences, deans, honorabilities, directors and representatives of academia.
The memorandum of cooperation between the Slovak Minister for the Environment and the Slovak Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport was signed with the involvement of the Slovak Minister for the Environment and the State Secretary for the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of Slovak Republic. Ministry for the Environment of Slovak Republic signed the memorandum with the universities under the involvement of the chancellors:
- Robert Redhammer, Chancellor of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava
- Stanislav Kmeť, Chancellor of Technical University in Košice
- Ferdinand Daňa, Chancellor of University of Economics in Bratislava
- Danica Kačíková, Vice-Chancellor of Technical University in Zvolen.
The fair welcomed 231 registered exhibitors from the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, France, Netherlands, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain and the US.
Over the three days the fair was visited by 9268 applicants of study.
Matej Bel University of Banská Bystrica had its own stand where the delegates of the faculties presented the study programmes for the academic year 2016/2017.
