Updates have been implemented in mailboxes

As of April 4th, 2020, the following updates have been implemented in mailboxes and other Office 365 related services for students:

    • Each student (except for full-time PhD students) has a new account, including a new email address and Office365 services (OneDrive cloud storage, Teams, etc.).
    • The original account, including the email address, files stored in the cloud storage or other related data have been preserved and are still accessible in the original way.
    •  The login and password have not changed.
    • The new email address has a new form as follows: name.surname@student.umb.sk (only the domain studenti.umb.sk has changed to student.umb.sk).
    • When logging into a new account (mailbox, etc.) you must enter the login name: login@student.umb.sk
    • When logging into the old account (mailbox, etc.), you must enter the login name: login@studenti.umb.sk The difference is in the missing letter and in the name of the new domain only.
    • We made this change to make it easier for students to communicate with teachers when using Office 365 tools (Teams, etc.), as well as to make sharing of working documents more efficient, for example, when consulting the final thesis etc.
    • Emails delivered to your old mailbox will be automatically redirected to your new mailbox. The copy of each received email will remain in the old mailbox as well.

We urge you not to actively use your old accounts. We only let you to do this so that you do not lose the data that you have stored in your accounts and that you would have a chance to manage a back-up when and if needed. We will delete them after the semester. From now on, your official student email address will be in the above-mentioned form name.surname@student.umb.sk and you will log into Office 365 (mailbox) with the username login@student.umb.sk
