    UMB part of the 5th China-CEEC Educational Cooperation Conference

    From 8 June to 10 June 2018, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations, doc. PhDr. Katarína Chovancová, PhD. together with the Head of marketing communication department Ing. Dana Straková attended the International Conference and Education Fair – 5th China (Ningbo) - CEEC Education Cooperation Conference and "Belt and Road" Countries Education Cooperation Summit. The organizers of the event were the Ningbo Municipal People's Government in cooperation and the SARIO agency.

    On the day of arrival, our delegation was welcomed by the Rector of Ningbo City College of Vocational Training (NCC), prof. Shi Ximing and the Dean of the International School NCC, associate professor Miranda Ding, who introduced their study offer and possible cooperation between our universities.

    On 9 June 2018, a formal opening of the conference took place with the participation of high-level representatives of the parties and delegates from all the institutions. The conference was attended by 154 educational institutions from 30 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. In the afternoon, there was the 3rd China-CEEC Business School Summit & The Belt and Road Countries Forum on International Business Education for the universities involved in this initiative.

    The conference also created space for networking and exchange of experience with representatives of other universities.

    On June 10, 2018, the 3rd China (Ningbo) - CEEC Education Expo was held. UMB presented the offer in their own stand at the Expo and made contact with several foreign universities. There was a brief meeting with China Jiliang University, which is our partner institution for standardization activities.

    After the International Conference and Education Fair on 11 June 2018, the delegation under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations visited the partner university Zheijang Yuexiu University of Foreign Languages ​​(ZYUFL). This was the second business meeting in the presence of the University leadership: prof. Shan Shengjiang, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of International Trade, prof. Wei Xiaolin, Vice-Rector, guarantor for the second cycle of studies, prof. Georges Ubbelohde, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Dr. Amit Sharma, Executive Director of the Education Center for international trade, Dr. Min Li, secretary of the Faculty of International Trade, Dr. Hu Yanjing, Deputy Director of International Communications and Cooperation, and Chen Pingping, Assistant of the International Communication and Cooperation.

    Both the conference and the fair expanded the portfolio of partnerships contacts to partner institutions not only in China but also in the wider Asia region, creating possibilities for further activities.
