Visa requirements
The conditions for the entry and stay of foreign nationals in Slovakia are laid down in Act No. 404/2011 on Residence of Aliens and Amendment and Supplementation of Certain Acts (responsible is the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic).
Nationals of the European Union, the European Economic Area and Switzerland
Nationals of the European Union, the European Economic Area and Switzerland do not need visa for entering Slovakia. For more detailed information about your duties follow the info sheet issued by Migration information center.
Nationals of non-EU countries
Citizens from some non-EU countries are required to have a visa when travelling to the Schengen area. A common list of countries whose citizens must have visas when crossing the external borders and a list of countries whose citizens are exempt from that requirement are set out in the Regulation (EU) 2018/1806.
