    Counseling and crisis intervention

The mission of this department is rooted in the understanding that there are moments in every person’s life when they feel lost and uncertain about how to move forward.
The Department of Counseling and Crisis Intervention is prepared to respond to the diverse needs of students who are dealing with persistent or temporary challenges in learning, work, or personal life. The department’s work is based on personal contact between the client and a professional, who can assess the nature of the difficulties and provide support through consultations or counseling sessions.

The ambition of the Department of Counseling and Crisis Intervention is to improve the accessibility of quality services in the following areas:

    • Psychological Counseling and Intervention:
Support for students facing complex life situations, struggling with serious personal issues (loss of motivation, depression, feelings of loneliness or isolation...), relationship problems (family, partnerships...), or study-related issues (panic before exams, uncontrollable stage fright...).
    • Social Counseling:
Professional assistance for students in adverse life situations, helping them navigate possible solutions and understand the legal frameworks related to social protection or providing specific help in resolving their social difficulties.
    • Career Counseling:
Services and activities aimed at helping students choose their education path, vocational training, profession, and manage their career development.
    • Special Education Counseling and Inclusion:
Support for students with specific needs, aiming to remove barriers to learning and achieving their personal potential, as well as supporting their full participation in student life.
    • Legal Counseling:
Support in the form of consultations, legal analysis, or proposed steps to solve specific legal problems. These services are intended for students who lack the financial resources to pay for legal services from an attorney.
    • Pastoral Counseling:
Support focused on deepening one’s spiritual life, helping students find answers to fundamental life questions concerning values and goals, and finding stability and solutions in crisis situations.

Specialized counseling and crisis intervention services are intended for students facing more serious life problems and crises that require an individualized and comprehensive approach. Our work focuses on helping those who need it the most. We dedicate our efforts to working with people who perceive their situation as hopeless and are in urgent need of professional help.
