    Buddy programme

    Buddy programme

The goal of the BUDDY program is to support our students so they feel comfortable and have easier access to information and services at UMB.

    Who is a Buddy?

    • A Buddy is a student at UMB who has completed professional training for the Buddy program at UMB.
    • Buddies are volunteers who provide help and support to students in adapting to the university environment and in supporting mental health.

How can I get a Buddy?

    • You fill out a form that includes your faculty, student email, and basic information. Then, the people responsible for the Buddy program at UMB will accept your application and contact an appropriate Buddy, who will reach out to you via your student email.

How can a Buddy help you?

    • Provide information about studies and university structures,
    • Connect you with various types of university support and assistance,
    • Support you during challenging periods (e.g., completing study obligations, low motivation to study, etc.),
    • Help you navigate the university’s online space (website, social media),
    • Offer other types of mental health support.
