Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica under the auspices of its rector, doc. Ing. Vladimír Hiadlovský, PhD. and UMB Hockey Team in cooperation with the town of Banská Bystrica organizes the event “From school to winter stadium” (Zo školy na zimák) - edition University day of career opportunities.
The main idea: To connect the main attributes of a region and the town of Banská Bystrica – education, sport and career.
Target group: students and Matej Bel University graduates, wider public.
The aim of the event:The aim of the event From school to winter stadium - edition University day of career opportunities is to connect the quality hockey and the selection of quality companies representing quality job opportunities for students and public. For companies it opens the space for the talented and quality applicants who are on the lookout for a job. The meeting of the job seekers and the employers in one place brings the possibility to present themselves in non-traditional place and in a relaxed atmosphere.
Benefits for the visitors: In the winter stadium hall, visitors are introduced not only to companies with regional scope of activities, but also to international companies. Students and the public have a chance to learn about the job opportunities of these companies, about employment opportunities, part-time job, internship or traineeship opportunities, or they can establish a contact which will help them with the processing of final theses. In non-traditional place and during an informal meeting, visitors of this event can submit their CV directly to the representatives of the presenting companies.
Benefits for the exhibitors: For exhibitors, there is space for a creative presentation of their company at the job fair in Banská Bystrica, to fill free job positions and to create a database of promising employees, temporary workers, trainees and interns. At the same time, they will have the opportunity to work with students and the public and introduce their projects to them, so that they can get new, innovative ideas.

The Career centre of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica under the auspices of the rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica doc. Ing. Vladimír Hiadlovský, PhD. organizes an annual job fair of job and career opportunities called University Career Day.
The aim of the University Day of Career is to support communication and cooperation of students and graduates of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica with potential employers in the mediation of work, internships, temporary works or cooperation in final theses. The accompanying program includes workshops and lectures by exhibitors. Approximately 400 students and graduates take part in the job fair every year.
