Club operates at high performance sports and mass sports.

It brings together other clubs:

• Women's  basketball team ŠK UMB: - team leader: Mgr. Andrea Izáková, PhD. The club was established in 2014 with the aim of entering the first nationwide league of women SBA. Chairman of the club: Mgr. Kamil Škarba. 
• Women's basketball team ŠK UMB: - team leader: Mgr. Andrea Izáková, PhD. The club was established in 2014 with the aim of entering the first nationwide league of women SBA.
• Gymnastic Club ŠK UMB (focuses on gymnastic sports): - Chairman of the club: PaedDr. Juraj Kremnický, PhD.
• University hockey team - the team leader: Mgr. Lukáš Opáth. This club was established in 2014 with a focus on MBU students and aimes at the accession to the European University Hockey League.
• HOROKLUB ŠK UMB (focuses on outdoor activities) - Chairman of the club: Mgr. Miroslav Knoško.
• Karate Club ŠK UMB (focuses on other martial arts) - Chairman of the club: PaedDr. Peter Zbiňovský, PhD.
• Judo Club ŠK UMB - Chairman of the club: Mgr. Róbert Becík
• TRIAN ŠK UMB (focuses on triathlon and swimming activities) - Chairman of the club: Doc. PaedDr. Miroslav Nemec, PhD.
• Technical Sports Club ŠK UMB - Chairman of the club: PaedDr. Božena Paugschová, PhD. It brings together a section of biathlon and the section of air modelers.
• Sport for All Club ŠK UMB - Chairman of the club: PaedDr. Júlia Palovičová, PhD. The club is aimed at students and employees of UMB who have the ability to perform the following physical activities: swimming, volleyball, basketball, football, floorball, aerobics, zumba, workout in the fitness (weightlifting), sports and fitness gymnastics and other non-traditional sports.

Artistic ensembles:

University Choir Mladosť

University choir Mladosť is instructive and representative body established for the purpose of studies and preparation of teachers – conductors of children's choirs.

The choir won many awards at festivals and competitions during the years of its activities (Academic Banská Bystrica, V. Figuš-Bystrý competition, National competition of Matica Slovenská) and many competitions in abroad (Hungary, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belgium -  Neerpelt, France – Tours, Great Britain, Sweden – Oskarshamn, Germany – Zwickau, Netherland - Veldhoven , Croatia, Italy –Sardinia, Czech republic etc.).

Its dramaturgy is focused on the study of songs from all periods of the history of music. The choir participates in various projects in international symposia and workshops.

University Folklore Ensemble Mladosť

Representative MBU artistic body. It interprets folklore from all over Slovakia, in particular from its typical regions (Zemplín, Terchová, Myjava, Horehronie, Podpoľanie). Its activities represent the university on domestic and foreign fields and through dissemination of national traditions it builds contacts with foreign universities.
