    OUR AUTHORITIES: Professor Michal Harpáň

    A few days ago, our former colleague, a significant Slovak literary scientific and translator Dr.h.c. prof. Michal Harpáň got two important prizegivings – Prize of Chairperson of the Slovak National Council Peter Pellegrini for the development of culture and education of humanities for the year 2015 and the Award of Literary Fund (LF) for the development of Slovak science in Slovakia and abroad.

    The award was given to prof. Harpáň due to an official suggestion by the Department of Translation Studies, presented by PhDr. Ivan Šuša, Ph.D.

    Professon Harpáň, who worked at the Faculty of philosophy UMB, was later awarded a doctorate of honour doctorhonoriscausa.

    We congratulate Mr. Professor Harpan and wish him continued success in his creative activities.

    Uvedená prémia bola prof. Harpáňovi odovzdaná na základe oficiálneho návrhu Katedry translatológie FF UMB, ktorú fondu predložil jej vedúci PhDr. Ivan Šuša, Ph.D.

    Profesora Harpáňa, ktorý pôsobil na Filologickej fakulte UMB, neskôr na Fakulte humanitných vied UMB, ocenila naša univerzita aj čestným doktorátom doctor honoris causa.
