    Baku 2015 European Games

    On June 12. – 28. 2015 students and graduates of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Faculty of Arts at Matej Bel University took part in the first ever European Games in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan.

    Members of our Slovakian team were our students Ján Zmoray (1st place in paul vault), sisters Jana and Dana Velďáková (Jana won long jump and 4x100 metres´ relay, Dana was second in triple jump), Anna Mária Hrvolová (5th place in paul vault), Matúš Olej (5th place in the shot put and 7th place in discus throw), Veronika Ľašová (7th place in the javelin). The winner of the hammer throw is our graduate Martina Hrašnová.

    Tomáš Veszelka (6th place in the long jump) and Patrik Žeňuch (1st place in the javelin) were also  students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Matej Bel University.

    The members of the implementation team were the graduates of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at Faculty of Arts at Matej Bel University:

    Peter Korčok – the president of Slovak Athletic Federation, Martin Pupiš - national coach, Pavol Pankúch – national coach for throws, Jozef Párička – coach for throws, Rastislav Miško – coach for sprints.
