University of Mostar
From the 7th to 10th December 2017 the delegation from Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, led by the rector, doc. Ing. Vladimír Hiadlovský, PhD., visited the University of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our delegation was welcomed there by the rector of the University of Mostar, prof. dr. sc. Zoran Tomić, prof. dr. sc. Zdenko Klepić, vice-rector for Business, Human Resources and Quality Management, prof. dr. sc. Vesna Kazazić, assistant rector for teaching, students and legal questions and prof. Sanja Bijakšić, vice-rector for international cooperation.
During the working visit, the rector of the University of Mostar, prof. dr. sc. Zoran Tomić, and the rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, doc. Ing. Vladimír Hiadlovský, PhD., signed a Memorandum of Scientific and Research Cooperation. The mutual cooperation subject to the memorandum is the possibility of exchanging students and employees of both parties, implementation of the results of joint research and didactic activities, sharing information related to seminars, workshops and academic meetings organized by both universities. The rector of the University of Mostar emphasized the importance of international cooperation with the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and invited the rector doc. Ing. Vladimír Hiadlovský, PhD. to another meeting in Mostar.
The dean of the MBU Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, doc. Mgr. Branislav Kováčik, PhD., the head of the department of security studies, doc. Mgr. Rastislav Kazanský, PhD., MBA and Ing. Peter Smeriga, PhD., an employee of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, who also works at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Mostar, were also present at the work visit.
During the rich work program, our delegation also visited the Franciscan monastery and its library with a rich collection of book publications.
The following meeting will take place at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica in the beginning of the year 2018, when the MBU management will meet with a delegation of the University of Mostar led by its rector.
