    University Career Fair

Gateway to the world of opportunities

A place where talent and practice meet

The first day of April at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica was marked by career development. The twelfth edition of the UMB University Career Fair welcomed students, graduates and the general public to meet potential employers and professionals from various sectors.

The event offered a unique opportunity to gain valuable information about job opportunities on the labour market. More than 30 prestigious companies from IT, finance, education, marketing, manufacturing and public administration provided participants not only with an overview of current job positions, but also with valuable advice and experience.

The fair was not only about job offers - it also included interactive workshops and discussions where professionals from different sectors shared their know-how. Students had the opportunity to develop their skills in timemanagement, communication, career planning or personal branding.

The experiential activity "Who am I and where am I going?" led by experts from the Centre for Support and Continuing Education at UMB helped the participants to discover their strengths and steer their career path in the right direction.

Visitors could also take a language proficiency test or attend lectures on the importance of language skills in the labour market. German, English or other world languages open the door to interesting job opportunities at home and abroad.

The UMB University Career Fair once again showed that connecting the academic environment with the real job market is crucial for the future of young people.

We are sorry that the participation and interest from students and the public was not as we expected, but we believe that everyone who attended the event had the opportunity to gain new knowledge, make valuable contacts and get closer to their dream career.
