    The Academic Senate of UMB announces the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of UMB for the term of office 2026–2030

    The Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica announces the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica for the term of office 2026–2030.

    The period for submitting nominations of candidates for the position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica shall commence on the date of publication of this resolution on the website of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and shall end on 31 March 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Nominations of candidates for the position of Rector must be delivered to the Registry Office of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica no later than the expiry of this deadline.

    The electoral assembly for the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, which will include a public hearing of the candidates, shall take place on 6 May 2026.

    The Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and the Board of Trustees of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica elected the following members of the Election Committee for the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica:

    a) doc. PhDr. Martina Bolečeková, PhD., Chair and member representing the employee section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    b) doc. Mgr. Mariana Cabanová, PhD., Vice-Chair and member representing the employee section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    c) Mgr. Boris Beťák, PhD., member representing the employee section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    d) doc. JUDr. Katarína Zajác Ševcová, PhD., alternate member representing the employee section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    e) Mgr. Denis Dulovics, member representing the student section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    f) Zuzana Kocúrová, member representing the student section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    g) Lukáš Matušek, alternate member representing the student section of the Academic Senate of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica,

    h) Mgr. Martin Jaroš, member representing the Board of Trustees of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.

    The election of a candidate for the position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica shall be organized, administered, and supervised by the Election Committee for the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, which shall proceed in accordance with the Principles Governing the Election of a Candidate for the Position of Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and the Adoption of a Proposal for the Recall of the Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.
