Rectors of Matej Bel University and Károli Gáspár University discuss future cooperation

On 1 July 2026, the Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Doc. Ing. Vladimír Hiadlovský, PhD., welcomed Prof. Dr. László Trócsányi, Rector of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, to discuss opportunities for further developing cooperation between the two institutions.

The meeting focused on the exchange of best practices in university management, strategic development, and international activities. The rectors agreed that regular exchanges of experience provide valuable inspiration and new ideas that contribute to the growth and modernization of both universities.

"Cooperation with international universities is important not only from the perspective of international relations, but also as an opportunity to learn from one another and share experiences from everyday academic life," said Rector Vladimír Hiadlovský.

Particular attention was given to the cooperation between the Faculty of Law of Matej Bel University and the Faculty of Law of Károli Gáspár University, which has been developing following the signing of a bilateral agreement between the two institutions. The agreement creates opportunities for student and staff exchanges, joint academic activities, and the development of research collaboration.

"We are pleased that the signed agreement is already producing concrete results. The cooperation between our Faculties of Law provides a strong foundation for future joint projects and new partnerships," said Rector László Trócsányi.

Both rectors also expressed their interest in expanding cooperation to other areas of education and research, creating new opportunities for students, academic staff, and researchers at both universities.
