Ms. Laure Castin, Director of the Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe of the AUF in Bucharest, visited UMB

On 17 January 2025, Ms. Laure Castin, Director of the Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe of the University Agency of Francophonie (AUF) in Bucharest, visited UMB. In a discussion with the Vice-Rector for the European University Alliance EMERGE and the Vice-Rector for Science and Research, new opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the above-mentioned international Francophone network were opened. UMB has been a full member of the University Agency of Francophonie since 2007. It was the first university from Slovakia to become a member. The Agency offers a wide range of opportunities for cooperation and the development of research and scholarly activities for universities that offer French language studies or studies in French as a part of their portfolio. Ms. Laure Castin then visited the Slovak-French University Institute, where she also met with French-speaking academic staff of UMB.
