MBU Students’ Day

The fifteenth of November was a day dedicated to students at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. The rector and the vice-rector for pedagogical activities welcomed exceptional students from the MBU faculties to remind themselves and celebrate together the International Students’ Day not only by looking back into the history but also, and above all, by having an enriching discussion on various current topics. Students, during their meeting with rector, shared their experience and presented their activities to which they devote their leisure time beyond their study duties; students also expressed their plans for future. Our rector listened to their creative proposals and suggestions with interest; they can make our university more visible and create a more compact picture not only for current students, but also for potential applicants and the wider public. After the meeting, the rector in the presence of vice-rector for international relations, MBU vice-deans from all faculties and the director of IC-Centre, the language school, welcomed more than 60 foreign students of a so-called zero academic year who are preparing for their full time studies at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. Foreign students had the opportunity to learn about the University directly from the university management and the management of the faculties in the rich discussion aimed at bringing the MBU study programs closer to students.
