An informal meeting of students of the Slovak Government Scholarship Programme

An informal meeting of students of the Slovak Government Scholarship Programme and exchange of experiences from their stay in Slovakia, at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, took place in one of the local restaurants, where everyone enjoyed traditional Slovak dishes. The atmosphere was full of laughter and joy as we talked and shared our experiences of living in Slovakia. Each of the students had a unique opportunity to share their impressions and feelings from this educational adventure.
Some students talked about their love for Slovak cuisine, while others described the beauty of Slovak nature. It was fascinating to hear the different perspectives and experiences that varied depending on each student's cultural and geographical background.
We also discussed academic life at Matej Bel University. Many students highlighted the quality of education and the support they received from their lecturers and tutors. It was obvious that this experience had provided them with valuable knowledge and skills that they will use in their future careers.
The evening was a real reminder of the value of intercultural dialogue and education. "I was thrilled to be a part of this group and look forward to more meetings like this. After all, it is experiences like this that help us grow as individuals and as a global community," said Ján Gréner, Director of the UMB Student Houses, at the end of the meeting.
