Curricula in Foreign Languages
One of the MBU priority tasks is the curricula restructuring in progress. It is focused on students language preparation with an aim to prepare universal language-competent professionals for the European Union and other labor markets.
The foreign lecturers significantly contribute to language preparation level increasing. In the period 2000-2003 at the University worked lecturers from the following countries: the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Russia, Belarus, The Ukraine, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Great Britain, Italy, The USA, Congo, Ethiopia, and Argentina. There are almost 50 foreign lecturers at the MBU every year.
Francophone study (partial) offered by the Faculty of Finance and the Faculty of Economics.

It is implemented on agreement between Matel Bel University and the French Embassy in the Slovak Republic (The Center for the Cultural and Language Cooperation).

The study is full-time.

Each subject taught in French has the same credit value as its equivalent in Slovak

The Certificate of the partially francophone study (signed by the Faculty of Finance Dean and French Embassy in the Slovak Republic) can be attained by a student that enrols in a minimum of two subjects taught in French from offered obligatory subjects, optional obligatory subjects or optional subjects in one academic year. The engineer graduates obtain certificates together with the university diploma.

The intensive language training of students from one to three foreign languages is in progress in all the faculties of the MBU that are complying with selected fields of study.
The Faculty of Economics
It offers to its full-time students, of all study disciplines (Public Economics and Administration, Business Economics and Management, Tourism), courses in French and German.

It also offers optional obligatory subjects in Bachelor or Engineer study in English or German for full-time students, for e.g.: Econometrics, Security Analysis (Obligatory subjects in specialization Financial management) Managerial Finance and Investment, Case Studies in Corporate Financial Management and Investment and Financing.
The Faculty of Political Sciences and International Affairs
It offers obligatory and optional obligatory courses - Country Science, Intercultural Situations Communication, International Affairs, Economic Texts, Legal Texts, Diplomacy and Media. Student can chose the above mentioned courses in English, German, Spanish and French.
The Faculty of Humanities
In the branch of General Education Subjects Teaching: in specializations with foreign language the subjects related to foreign language study - English Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, and Russian Language and Literature are taught in the above mentioned foreign languages. Whereas the second specialization subject and mutual-teaching subjects are taught in Slovak.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences
The Faculty offers study in English with specialization in Mathematics study programme in English.
